Horizontal Directional Drilling
Horizontal directional drilling or directional boring is done by one of Penna’s Welding LTD boring machines. This type of drilling is used when trenching or excavating is not practical, allowing us to install underground pipe, conduit, or cable in a bore path. Our drilling rigs leave minimal impact on the surrounding area.
We operate the following equipment:
- JT5 Ditch Witch Boring machine equipped with 100 meters of drill rod and a 4.5” and 6” reamer
- JT10 Ditch Witch Boring Machine equipped with 120 Meters of drill rod and 4.5” and 6” reamer
- JT2020 Ditch Witch Boring machine equipped with 180 Meters of drill rod and 4.5”- 6” -8” -10” reamer
